Phuket Golf Club
Voted Top Ten for Best Golf Resort in Asia, Best Clubhouse in Asia and
Best Golf Courses in Thailand by readers of Asian Golf Monthly magazine,
Laguna Phuket Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 resort course, designed by
Max Wexler and David Abell, which challenges golfing enthusiasts of all
abilities. Measuring 6,654 yards from the back tees and 5,464 yards from
the forward tees, the course features a wealth of scenic lagoons,
coconut groves and undulating fairways, set against the dramatic
backdrop of the surrounding mountains and the nearby sea.
Meandering through a labyrinth of lagoons, the course requires golfers
to play with great accuracy, and to select clubs carefully. Water looms
on 13 of the 18 holes and threatens to swallow any shot veering too far
to the side. On several holes, adventurous long hitters will certainly
enjoy taking a rewarding gamble by cutting corners, while on other
holes, strategic iron play is a must!
The signature par 3 sixteenth hole offers a green encased by a myriad of
gaping bunkers, while the short par 4 ninth hole looks deceptively easy,
until you realize you are forced to hit into the small island green.
The par 5 seventeenth hole; perhaps the most challenging, requires three
long yet precise shots into a large green. The fifteenth might make you
think you are playing in the Rockies, as you watch your shot soar to the
green, set against the back drop of the magnificent mountains.
Laguna Phuket Golf Club also offers a wonderful opportunity for you to
refine your game as its extensive practice facilities and state of the
art teaching center. Feature include a covered area for sun and rain
protection, a full length driving range, putting greens, practice
bunkers and chipping areas; so you can work on both your short and long
games. The LPGC Teaching Centre offers the video analysis with the
latest teaching software together with comprehensive learning aids. All
the Club’s professionals are qualified PGA professionals.
Pools
The wonderfully tranquil surroundings turn an early morning dip into a
truly invigorating experience. Swim a few laps in the 40m-long lap pool,
soak in the sublimely peaceful atmosphere and let your cares drift away.
Take part in a scuba diving demonstration and experience the sensation
of weightlessness, or venture into the rapid water canal and bubble mats
of the free-form pool, followed by a rest in the lounge chairs.

Wine and dine at this eclectic and award-winning restaurant, renowned
for its creative selection of Thai cuisine prepared using traditional
methods passed down through generations. At the Saffron the exotic
flavors of Asian delights blend perfectly with the delectable décor of
the restaurant. Dishes featured on our menu include crisp fried catfish
and mango salad, stir-fried black crab with pepper and chilli, and
sticky rice with yellow curry ice cream.
