Handi, Indian Restaurant
Our authentic Indian restaurant serves delectable Indian
cuisine from the northern frontier specially conducted by
Indian Master Chefs truly inspired by the magnificent Taj
setting. Handi is located on the lobby level.
To dine at
Handi, the Indian restaurant of the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai,
is to relive the regal elegance of the Mughal period in
India with its ornate wooden decor and tandoori ovens. Handi
celebrates the cuisine of the various regions of India from
North to South, but most specially those of Lucknow and
Madhya Pradesh. Handi can accommodate 72 people and has
special rooms for families. It also has a large selection of
lassies, fruit juices and cocktails and Indian sweets.
The restaurant
has a wide selection of kebabs and Indian bread as well as
traditional curry dishes and specially mixed masala from
different regions of India. The Indian chef, Salim Qureshi
is a master chef who comes from a family of chefs prides
himself of the restaurant being adorned by traditional
Indian trimmings and artifacts.

Topkapi, Turkish Restaurant
The only Turkish restaurant in Dubai where guests can savor
the zesty sensational Turkish dishes . Topkapi is located on
the lobby level.
Topkapi, the
first five star Turkish restaurant which opened 19th of
September 2001 in Dubai, will offer food connoisseurs
authentic Turkish delicacies such as stuffed eggplant cooked
in olive oil, pickled vine leaf or fish fillet wrapped in
persimmon paper and cooked in earthenware dish. Topkapi, a
name derived from the famous Topkapi Palace in Bhosporus,
Turkey seats 78 diners in a cozy atmosphere. Decorated in
the traditional Turkish architecture, portrayed on the walls
is the ancient map of Ottoman Turkey. Cafer Aral, the
Turkish chef, said cultural ambience from Turkey would be
evidently felt in the restaurant as Topkapi was specially
created with the inspiration of everything Turkish in mind.
Reservation although not required is appreciated in order to
have the best nook in this mouthwatering hub.

Verdi, Italian Restaurant
A unique Italian restaurant to enjoy the sumptuous Italian
and Mediterranean cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Verdi is
located on the lobby level.
Verdi, the
Italian restaurant of the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai, offers a
wide selection of 41 different kinds of pizzas with all
kinds of toppings imaginable as well as fresh pasta,
risotto, rice dishes and anti pasti buffet and Italian
desserts.
There will
also be regular live pizza cooking demonstrations at the
restaurant conducted by our professional creative chefs.
Ram, the Italian chef at Verdi, delights diners with his
spicy dishes from Sicily as well as more traditional menus
from Rome and Milan. Especially homemade oils and sauces are
concocted to bring out the true Italian taste.
The restaurant
can accommodate 48 people. If you opt for private party or
gathering of up to 48 guests, Verdi can be transformed to a
set up of your choice.
In house guest can also order Verdi pizzas and pastas
through our 24 hour room service.

Sakura, Japanese Restaurant
In the Japanese restaurant we serve delicacies using
original and the freshest ingredients specially flown in
from Japan. The oriental ambience from the authentic decor
creates a unique dining experience. Sakura is located on the
lobby level.
Sakura, the
fine dining Japanese restaurant of the Taj Palace Hotel
Dubai, presents a culinary experience from the mystical
Oriental way of life. There are three Teppanyaki tables at
the restaurant where diners watch as the Japanese chef
prepares seafood, meat and vegetables are cooked in
showmanship. Guests can savor tempura, sushi, sashimi,
teriyaki and a wide selection of deep fried and broiled
seafood dishes. Sakura's sous chef, Frank Padua, trained in
the fine art of Teppanyaki cooking from an international
chain specializing in this art transforms your casual dining
Japanese fare into artsy display of vegetable tossing and
catching.
To set the
mood right, traditional Japanese water music and pipes play
in the background. To complete the atmosphere, the
restaurant is complimented with its fine array of Japanese
art crafts and miniature displays that can be found on the
walls.

Traditional Arabian delights and snacks are on offer in our
rooftop after dinner cafe - Cafe Nargila. Falafels,

entertainment from our Oud & Tablah players starts at 9pm
until tam. Huff and puff with our sheesha pipes, which come
